Tolpuddle Tree Engraved Wooden Pendant
£10.00
When the National Trust coppiced the great Tolpuddle Martyrs’ sycamore tree recently we got some of the wood. The Museum has commissioned craftsman Sean Carter of Aberfanturning to produce a limited number of handmade items made from this special timber. The 330-year-old Martyrs’ Tree, believed to be the oldest Sycamore in Britain and maybe the world, is only coppiced like this four or five times every 100 years. This was a rare opportunity to make something beutiful from this important tree. These are wonderful and meaningful things to own or would make a gift. The pendants are on a natural waxed leather thong.
