When the National Trust coppiced the great Tolpuddle Martyrs' sycamore tree recently we got some of the wood. The Museum has commissioned craftsman Sean Carter of Aberfanturning to produce a limited number of beautiful pens and wooden presentation boxes both made from this special timber. The 330-year-old Martyrs' Tree, believed to be the oldest Sycamore in Britain and maybe the world, is only coppiced like this four  or five times every 100 years. This is a rare opportunity to make something beutiful from this important tree. This is a wonderful 7 meaningful thing to use or would make a great presentation piece of gift.

The fountain pen and presentation box are made from the Tolpuddle wood. The pen has gold coloured trim and comes with a refillable ink reservior or takes a standard Parker ink cartridge.
