Yes, there really are two stations in Dorchester – West and South – with about five minutes walk between them.
Trains coming from the east of England (London/Southampton/Bournemouth) stop at Dorchester South; trains from the North or West (via Bristol) stop at Dorchester West.

If you arrive by train on Friday there is a public bus route no.187 from Dorchester South Train Station to Tolpuddle Museum  (check timetable closer to the time)

Saturday 20 July 2024

If you arrive by train on Saturday, there is no public bus service or festival shuttle. You will need to make your own arrangements or get a taxi to get to Tolpuddle.

Sunday 21 July 2024

When arriving by train on Sunday a shuttle bus is available to take you to the Tolpuddle Festival PRE-BOOKING ONLY at a cost of £5 each way and you must book for each inbound and outbound journey.

The morning shuttle bus will pick up passengers from both Dorchester South and Dorchester West train stations and bring people to the festival. The shuttle bus will then return passengers to both train stations in the afternoon (pick up from the layby opposite the museum). If you miss your booked shuttle bus, we cannot guarantee a space on an alternative bus.

Bus 1 – Dorchester South – meeting the 10.23 train

Bus 2 – Dorchester South – meeting the 11.23 train then to Dorchester West meeting the 11.37 train
