The Unison Marquee will be open throughout the weekend for you to drop in and find out more about us, our current campaigns, and grab some goodies (donations to our welfare charity, ‘there for you’ encouraged in exchange).

Adekunle Akinola, Lydia Kabute and Shamiso Hove – activists from the UNISON South West Migrant Worker Network – will discuss key issues affecting their working lives and the implications of the porposals in the Immigration White Paper.
12:00 – 13:00 Performance by Mustafa Mamu @mustafamamu16
Join us for this performance from Mustafa – the singer from Afrin City Syria. Mustafa will also share some personal testimony about their experience of coming to the UK
13:15 – 14:45 Trans Ally Workshop
Micheal Duffy from the UNISON SW LGBT+ members’ group will facilitate this shortened version of the UNISON trans ally workshop: learn how to support your trans colleagues. https://unsn.uk/trans-ally
15:00 – 16:00 Workshop – combatting the Far Right
Jenn Forbes, TUC tutor will facilitate a short workshop on combatting the rise of the far right and the trade union response.
16:30 – 17:30 – Performance – Maddie Morris
@Maddiemorrismusic is an artist who describes themselves as a queer, neurodivergent, intersectional feminist; an artist who strives to make a difference in the world. Bold, insightful and refreshingly unique, they take traditional song in new directions to shine a light on contemporary issues, offering new perspectives about the world we live in today.

UNISON will be joined on the march by the Bristol Sambistas samba band, so come and dance through the village with the UNISON bloc.
