This book tells of his travels throughout the world to champion the cause of the worker as well as securing the support of the working man in the fight against fascism. Holmes was present at Tolpuddle in 1934 when the Museum and Memorial Cottages were built and played a key role during this critical period for trade unionism and the Labour movement.

This well-reaserched and fascinmating book was written by his Grandson, William Holmes.
